Hydroponic marijuana seized, Natchez woman arrested | Crime
A Natchez woman was arrested and a quarter pound of “hydroponic high-grade marijuana” seized following the execution of a search warrant Tuesday.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputies and Metro Narcotics agents arrested 21-year-old Bianca Sharnese Chatman on a charge of possession of an enhanced controlled substance and the sale and transfer of a controlled substance, according to the sheriff’s office.
"This seizure and arrest are part of an ongoing undercover investigation of the expanding availability of high grade marijuana in the Adams County area,” Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said.
The sheriff’s office says the street value of the hydroponic marijuana seized was $3,400 – nearly 10 times the street value of regular marijuana.
More than $600 in small bills was also seized at the scene.
